Solemn services were held in the Nativity of Christ in all the temples of Krasnodar

One of the most numerous divine services took place in St.Catherine Cathedral. The worship service was carried out by Metropolitan of Yekaterinodar and Kuban Isidore. The Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratiev and the Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov together with parishioners kept vigil at night.

"In these holy and saving days of God, I wish all of you to enjoy the spiritual feast of the Great Christmas Holiday. Do not miss the holy days to serve one’s neighbour. Let us not be indifferent, absent-minded, rigid in heart. Look closely and be sure to find those who are waiting for attention, care, help. Even a kind word of consolation can create a miracle," Metropolitan Isidore addressed the parishioners.

Several thousand citizens and guests of the regional center came to keep vigil in St.Catherine Cathedral.

On the night from January 6th to 7th in Krasnodar festive Christmas services were held in churches, cathedrals and chapels of all 54 Orthodox parishes.

The Nativity of Christ is one of the main Christian holidays. In the church calendar Christmas is followed by Christmastide, which lasts 12 days before the Eve of Theophany. During this time, the Orthodox parishes of Krasnodar will host festive events.
