Military parade in honour of the Victory Day was held on the Theater Square of Krasnodar

Ceremonial passing of the parade units, military equipment and machinery devoted to the celebration of the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War took place in the main square of the capital of Kuban. The parade was attended by Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratiev and Head of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov.

— Our fathers and grandfathers have brought this day closer over long four years. That terrible and merciless war has claimed the lives of millions. It left an ineffaceable wound in every family. Four hundred thousand people from Kuban did not come back. Today, our villages and cities remember all of them by names. Dear veterans, the Great Patriotic War is history for our peaceful generation. For you, it is a lifetime. You've returned to your homes demolished by war, to the graves of your beloved ones. And in a peaceful life you have done many feats, taught us to be cohesive and united. The memory of the liberators remains sacred to our people. For all the time, nothing has been forgotten and no one has been forgotten. Congratulations on the Great Victory Day! — from the rostrum Veniamin Kondratiev addressed people assembled on the square.

The festive event was also attended by the Chairman of Legislative Assembly Vladimir Beketov, the Chairwoman of City Duma of Krasnodar Vera Galushko, Metropolitan of Yekaterinodar and Kuban Isidore, Federal inspector for Krasnodar Region of the President's plenipotentiary office in Southern Federal District Alexey Yermakov, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the region and the City Duma of Krasnodar.

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War were invited to take seats at the honorary stand. Among them were liberators of Krasnodar, war workers and former under-age prisoners of fascist concentration camps. About 25,000 people and visitors to the city viewed the colorful parade in the main square of Krasnodar.
