The guests arrived in the capital of Kuban to explore the city and the base of the football club Krasnodar, which will be the home for the Spanish national team during the World Cup this summer. A tour around the stadium and premises was conducted for them by the founder and owner of FC Krasnodar Sergey Galitskiy. The Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov also participated in the tour.
"The training base of football club Krasnodar has all conditions for quality and comfortable training. The members of the Spanish delegation have pleasant impression from what they saw. I'm sure Krasnodar will meet the team and the fans worthily. It will be a big festival — a festival of football," said Evgeny Pervyshov.
A representative delegation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Russia Mr. Ignacio Ibáñez arrived in Krasnodar from Sochi on the eve. The delegation included Consul General of Spain in Moscow Itziar Taboada, advisors of the Embassy in various areas as well as business representatives.
The representatives of Spain visited the premises of FC Krasnodar in the afternoon after the official reception in administration of Krasnodar Region, which was held by the Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratiev.
During the visit the foreign guests reviewed the new stadium situated in the street of Vostochno-Kruglikovskaya, walked around the newly created park and also the academy of FC Krasnodar near there. Sergey Galitskiy told the representatives of the Spanish side about the possibilities of sports facilities.
"It's a great honor and pride to host the national team of Spain. We will do everything to make the team feel comfortable," said Sergey Galitskiy.
During a visit to the stadium, guests were photographed with a picture of bull — the mascot of FC Krasnodar. Ignacio Ibáñez noted the symbolism of the fact that the main symbol of Spain is also the bull.
