"A large part of the games of the World Cup will be played in Sochi at the Fisht Stadium, and the teams will work at 8 training grounds located at the territory of Krasnodar Region, in Krasnodar, Anapa, Gelendzhik and Adler. We need to completely resolve the remaining organizational tasks related to the development of sports infrastructure, training grounds, transport logistics, hotel room stock and the operation of so-called fan zones for football fans," said Nikolay Doluda.
The Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Krasnodar Region Lyudmila Chernova said that the preparation of sports facilities was being actively carried out, in September specialists would sow new grass at training grounds and by the end of the first quarter of 2018 they would be fully prepared to receive the leading national teams of the World Cup. In addition, the routes of movement from hotel to a training base or stadium are being developed for the convenience of the teams.

We have also prepared 248 hotels with the room stock of about 5 600 seats. Design projects for the fan zones are being prepared. These zones will be organized in Theatre and Pushkin Squares. The works are being carried out in full compliance with the carefully designed plan "Football summer 2018"," said Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov.
