Andrey Chibis: Public spaces of Krasnodar are worthy of emulation

In Krasnodar Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the RF summed up the interim results of the federal project for the improvement of territories in the Southern Federal District (SFD). The Mayor of regional centre Evgeny Pervyshov participated in the meeting.

"In Krasnodar Region there are many positive examples of the improvement of urban territories under the priority federal project "Creating a comfortable urban environment". Today, in the capital city of your region, I've had the opportunity to get acquainted with some examples of the improvement of public spaces. Krasnodar gives a very pleasant impression, and its public spaces are exemplary. Work in this direction must be continued," said Andrey Chibis.

Vice Governor of Krasnodar Region Andrey Alekseyenko, Deputy Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Zimenko, First Deputy Chairman of the City Duma of Krasnodar Victor Timofeyev, representatives of the All-Russia People’s Front, the "United Russia" party, Astrakhan and Volgograd regions, the Republic of Kalmykia, the Republic of Adygeya, the Republic of Crimea and other territorial entities of the SFD also attended the meeting.

Andrey Alekseyenko noted that about 1.8 bln roubles have been provided for the implementation of regional part of the federal programme "Creating a comfortable urban environment" in 2017. The funds from federal, regional and municipal budgets are to be spent on the improvement of 256 courtyards of multi-apartment buildings, as well as 44 places of public use (parks, garden squares, boulevards).

The Chief Architect of Kuban Yuri Rysin added that the project organizations had actively engaged in creating design projects of urban territories landscaping, and that the majority of them have been ready and undergone the state expert assessment.

Then the meeting participants discussed the implementation of priority project "Creating a comfortable urban environment" in other regions of the Southern Federal District. It was noted that some regions were lagging behind in carrying out the necessary procedures for implementing the project.

In this connection, Andrey Chibis highlighted the positive experience of Krasnodar, where the projects for the improvement of urban territories had already been approved and agreed upon with the residents.
